Movie: Pride and Prejudice (2005)

Pride and Prejudice

Really, the movie is good.

The casting is impressive. All the actors/actresses are very well suited for the role they have been assigned with. It is the first time I've seen Keira Knightley acting so well and with a role that suits her. The actor for Mr. Darcy, Matthew Macfayden, is also pretty good. His acting is very convincing especially in the beginning of the film, where he is thought to be arrogant and stuff. The actress for the Mrs. Bennet character, Brenda Blethyn, is also good. Being able to portray the idea that forcing her children, because they are all women, to get married is the most important thing.

The cinematography is also pretty good. The dances, the clothing, and the setting are very delightful.

The sounds are okay. Although I didn't like the dialogues all too well because they are fast. Sometimes I get lost with the conversations that the characters were having and had to decipher what was happening with the context clues.

Good movie. It gives a strong impression of feminism and freedom. Kind of makes me remember my Humanities class.

The novel may be equally interesting. It may be a good way to spend some slack time to read it.

Cyber Whiz, and so on

Nung sabado, nagpa-quiz show ang organisasyon namin sa school. I.T. quiz show na swabe, Cyber Whiz.

Nakakatuwa tuloy. Isa pang nakakatuwang event sa all-star this year ay yung Dick Bavetta vs. Charles Barkley marathon.

Tapos nag-Devil May Cry nanaman ako.

May exam nanaman ako bukas. NatSci 3. Ayoko na.

Yung thesis namin halos tapos na, testing and more documentation nalang.

Unstructured Definitions

"Using scope as the criterion, Power (1997) differentiates enterprise-wide DSS and desktop DSS. An enterprise-wide DSS is linked to large data warehouses and serves many managers in the company. A desktop, single-user DSS is a small systems that runs on an individual manager's PC."
Decision support system, http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Decision_support_system&oldid=106021720 (last visited February 14, 2007).

Sabi ng teacher ko, kapag na-run siya in a network, enterprise-wide DSS. Ibig sabihin kapag ang isang desktop DSS ay na-hack ng isang ibang manager, at na-run over the network, classified as enterprise-wide DSS na rin siya. That's how structured it is. The definitions are not mutually exclusive, really. I hate it when definitions are given without basis.

Maging Sino Ka Man Episode 86 Dialogue

Celine: Hon? Hon? Anong ginagawa mo? Hon sandali lang. Hon, Brian wait. San ka pupunta? Brian stop, please, please don't leave me. Promise hindi na ako makikialam. I'll stay here at home ipaglilinis kita, ipagluluto kita, please huwag mo akong iwan I'll do anything.
Brian: Ano ba?!...

Borat

The movie is amazing. The most outrageous movie I have ever watched. The part when he says that Bush can drink all the blood in Iraq was fun to watch. It made me see that the US is somehow similar to the Philippines. You'll see that many americans are also nationalistic, they love their country AND hate their president.

Lyrics to fictional Kazakh national anthem from the movie

Kazakhstan is the greatest country in the world.
All other countries are run by little girls.
Kazakhstan is number one exporter of potassium.
Other central Asian countries have inferior potassium.

Kazakhstan is the greatest country in the world.
All other countries is the home of the gays.
==================================================

"All other countries are run by little girls". Woot, the Philippines? I didn't know Borat knew something about my home country.

I feel bad for that woman who lost her job because of Borat.
