Live Free Or Die Hard

Halivood did it again.

I was impressed with the evil speech derived from the conglomerated speeches of all their presidents. It takes effort to map out words from several speeches. Palakpakan.

The hackers here have the most understandable and user friendly interfaces. The thing is, hackers, most probably would not create intricate user interfaces that appeal to a wide audience. They use their programs for their own and are not selling them to anyone. But because it's Halivood, they have to have a nice perky interface so that the people who watch will, hopefully, understand whatever is happening.

Another thing worth noting is that hardware is not very easy to hi-jack. Although it is possible to just plug a consumer electronic gadget to a computer and take control of it, i.e. ssh from a phone. It's not possible to hack into a target within ten seconds.

They were mentioning mutating encryption algorithms. Interesting. It only goes to show that hackers should not be discarded. The things that they make can be very, very useful.

In the movie, when John McClane, the hero, was being held at gunpoint by Thomas Gabriel, the evil guy, the latter pushed his gun into the gunshot wound just at the right shoulder of the former. The hero then does the most noble thing by shooting the gun, piercing himself and knocking the evil guy off. So the question is: How in the hell can you get a guy thrown away from you by shooting yourself and making the bullet pierce your body and hit that guy by using a pistol? That's not all, you have to do it in such a way that that guy you shot at will hit and break a car wind shield about three feet away. The answer is Halivood, of course.

Interesting line from the movie:
"What do you get for being a hero? Nothing." .

Butiki In The Box

Donut. Masarap. Malinamnam. Nakakatakam. Punong-puno ng saturated fats. (barf) Masarap.

So......

Extracurricular Work Week

Counter-Strike Monday.

Parang slack time namin.

Movie night Wednesday.
Nanood kami ng National Treasure.

Basketball Thursday.
Nakakatuwa na yung mga managers/seniors ay nakakasalamuha mo in a certain non-work related activity.

National Treasure: Book of Secrets

I'm still wondering why the movie week committee did not consider Anak ng Kumander, Katas ng Saudi or, barf, Resiklo.
  • It's too American. Whenever anyone in the movie says the word "national", nasasaktan ako oh baby. Bakit ko nga ulit pinapanood ito? Haha.
  • It contains too much Hollywood content. What they did is a sacrilege to the security personnel. It's like saying that it's possible to hack computer systems, in the modern setting, by just running one program.
What are the chances na tatama siya sa kanyang hula? 100% dahil Halivood.
  • And yes, the disturbing way "Papa Cage" (as my co-workers refer to Nicolas Cage) talks with the breath and murky facial expression. Para siyang parating hinihingal. "Hits the grheathest nhationhal trheasure hof hall time."

Genshiken 2

I watched it over a month ago. Wala lang, just for reference.
  • Most of the characters have ecchi scenes.
  • So there are male cosplaying female characters and other men seem to still buy it.
  • The spoofs, especially the Gundam ones, in the opening sequence for the anime are fun to watch.
  • Unlike the first season, the episode titles aren't like theses titles anymore. They are more of real descriptions to what will happen in the episode.
  • When Tanaka and Oono were beginning to get freaky with each other, the scene was cut and then a sound similar to moaning was presented. It turned out to be Sasahara drinking something.
  • What I like about this anime is that it is very open. It has that ... factor whenever there is a sort of scene. It leaves everything up to the viewers imagination.
  • I don't get the idea that some otaku will prefer 2D/3D ero over the real thing.
  • I really don't like to watch Fujyoshi/male to male (or as my friends call it, M2M) sorts of stuff. It's very disturbing. It gives me the creeps. I'd rather be ignorant about those things than to learn about them by seeing. I had fun watching because it's fictional within their own fiction.
All in all, it's a nice anime that you can watch to cut some slack.
